Scrapings

It's hot and I am uninspired. And I hate the last painting I did so much I am posting the scrapings rather than the thing itself.

On the bright side....I am reading The American Painter Emma Dial and loving it. For a bunch of reasons, but primarily because it is reminding me of "painter think" and NY in the 70s and 80s, though the book is set in today's city.

And I read an interesting article in Bark, that got me thinking about a new set of work. Not paintings, I think, maybe, um, constructs? Not sure but this funny little block print is step one.
